"Farmer Tom" Galfo

HELLO MY NAME IS THOMAS GALFO, BETTER KNOW AS “FARMER TOM”, a life long
resident of Jefferson Township for 44 years, business owner since 2015 of The Feisty Pepper,3rd generation farmer of Galfo’s Family Farm started in 1952 with 74 yrs of farming tradition and still growing and serving the great community of Jefferson Township .

I am happy to announce that I am stepping up to the plate and will be running for the Jefferson Township Council, as the “Choice that Jefferson Needs”. For the people in Jefferson Township that know me and the ones that will get to know me, I tell it straight to the point, no filters just the transparent truth with the facts to back it.
 

Growing up with the mind set of a farmer is truly a gift. It’s very simple: Say what the truth is,do what’s right for the township of Jefferson, and work until the job gets done right! It really is avery simple way to live, and it’s time to bring back some old school values. That is why I am running for the position of Councilman of Jefferson Township.
 

You can ask my family and friends and pretty much anyone that’s met me. I am always happy to help and will not stop until the jobs done. You can ask my family about that I will not stop in the middle of the job to eat lunch. I believe that when you start a project you finish it no matter what it takes and do it right the first time. No corners need to but cut. 

For you that come to council meetings or watch the video replay, you will see me get up and ask the questions nobody wants to ask. Thats right; I always want to know why and how the decisions are made and are they what’s best for the Township of Jefferson.
I make the comment all the time. Elected officials have one job to do: Make every decision for what’s best for the residents of Jefferson Township. PERIOD. Not what’s best for anyone’s personal idea!
 

Who is Farmer Tom? I am a family man. I am blessed with the 3 people who mean everything to me: my partner Hazel and our daughters Dana, who is working on her Astrophysics PhD in London, and Pia who is studying to become a political scientist in Kyoto Japan. As a family man I feel a strong believe that faith is very important. That’s why on Saturday evenings we can be found at the 5PM mass at St Simon Church for the start of our family date night, and afterwards, you can find us supporting one of the local restaurants. We as local business owners know and understand the importance of supporting local business in our great community.
 

As an avid outdoorsman, you can find me spending much of my free time in the outdoors from fishing to hunting, and camping (Hazel’s and my first date sleeping under the stars on top of the mountains of Jefferson enjoying what the creator has blessed us with.)

How have I given back to Jefferson Township? Early in life I started volunteering as a junior firefighter @ Jefferson Township Fire Company #1, working my way up the ladder to the rank of Lieutenant and level 3 incident commander certification. I served as a firefighter for 15 plus yrs. 

Charter member and 3rd degree knight and past grand Knight of the knights of Columbus council #12649 of St John Vianney Church in Lake Stockholm NJ. 
 

Business owner since 2015 of The Feisty Pepper with my partner, Hazel located of the 3rd generation family farm Galfo’s thats been providing the high quality farm fresh ideas including fresh produce, meats, and plants since 1952. That’s right 74 yrs of family farming tradition here in Jefferson.
