PRIMARY ELECTION DATE: TUESDAY, JUNE 2nd
What we have accomplished:
Over the past seven-plus years, Eric, as Mayor, and Melissa, on Council, have led our community through what can only be described as a series of unprecedented challenges. From ongoing financial pressures associated with the Highlands Act, to the Harmful Algal Bloom at Lake Hopatcong, two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, historic snowstorms, Tropical Storm Isaias and the resulting closure of the Weldon Road Bridge, the shutdown of Route 15 South, and even the Route 80 sinkhole—our Township has faced no shortage of obstacles.

Through it all, the New Vision Team has remained committed to providing steady leadership and delivering meaningful, positive change for Jefferson Township. We are proud to share that the goals we set were achieved—many within the first six months of taking office—and we are eager to continue building on that momentum with your support.
We established an Economic Advisory Committee to identify opportunities to attract new businesses, increase ratables, and help stabilize taxes for our residents, while continuing to support our existing business community. We have also made significant strides in improving communication between local government and residents and have worked diligently to implement policies that make our municipal operations more efficient and effective. This is the vision we remain committed to advancing.
We are also proud to welcome “Farmer Tom” Galfo to our team. Tom will be seeking to fill the seat of Councilman Josh Kalish, who has chosen not to run for reelection and has offered his full support for Tom’s candidacy.
